Well, maybe not easy. However, figuring out how to write a book that sells is not as hard as you may think. There are multiple ways to tell a story in a way that will profit.
If you're having trouble getting started on your next bestseller (or first bestseller) here are some tips that will help you get started.
Determine a Topic - When you're looking to create a best seller, you can use Key Word searches to help you figure out what people are searching for; what they're interested in knowing and align that topic with your expertise.
Consider a Proper Sub-title - Your subtitle should state what the reader is going to get out of the book...that's it.
Create & Ask Questions - Create: Make a list of 5-10 questions your readers, in the topic, you decided upon, want to be answered. These will end up becoming your book chapters. Don't worry about naming them something catchy in this phase. You can do that later. Ask: Connect with subject matter experts (whether you know them or not) and glean from their expertise with regard to what the answers to your 5-10 questions should be. *NOTE* For Fiction writers, these questions may be about how the character develops. For example: would the character really make this choice? Would they really say this? Would they really do this? etc...
Write in a flow - Whether you're writing a memoir or a novel, be the solution or create a character that will/does/finds it. *NOTE* If an organized outlined approach freaks you out - don't fret! There is no rule that says you must write in order. Sometimes Chapter 10 may come to you before you write Chapter 2. That's ok. Let what's coming to you flow onto the paper (your computer) knowing that you can always organize it later.
After these initial steps, you'll be ready to roll into the editing, typesetting, cover design, and format of delivery (print, ebook, audiobook, and videobook); all of which a publishing consultant at Extreme Overflow Publishing, as an independent publisher, can help you with exploring.
