How can authors get their book noticed by more readers?

In today's world, where publishing a book has become more accessible than ever before, the number of books being published every day has skyrocketed. The challenge of visibility has become one of the biggest obstacles authors face when it comes to selling their books.


The internet and social media have made it easier for authors to promote their book in front of their ideal reader, finding that despite the best promotional efforts, an author still may not be making enough noise for their book to stand out in the crowded marketplace we all call social media.

However, all is not not lost. You have a message the world needs to hear, feel, see, connect to to find the transformation they’re willing to pay anything to get.

An author platform can include a blog, social media accounts, a website, and other online presence that can help an author reach their target audience. The goal of building an author platform is so that you can establish a following and create a community around your work's message. Remember always, you don’t sell books, you sell a solution to a problem. With an increase in visibility of you and your book as an expert in your topic, your message, the main problem you solve, you make it easier for potential readers to discover it.


Another strategy that authors can use to increase their book's visibility is to invest in targeted advertising. Social media platforms and online retailers such as Amazon offer advertising options that can help authors reach their target audience. By targeting specific demographics and interests, authors can increase the likelihood that their book will be seen by potential readers who are most likely to be interested in it.


Although visibility is one of the biggest challenges that authors face in selling their books, using strategies such as building an author platform and investing in targeted advertising, allows authors to increase their book's visibility and improve their chances of reaching their target audience and really help them change their life (that’s why we do this!). While it may take time and effort to build visibility, the rewards of having a successful author brand are well worth it.
